Dance and exercise in Centrum Tance

On this page, you’ll find all the essential information about our dance and exercise classes — including which classes are suitable for non-Czech speakers, how to register and pay, and what to expect when you visit us.

We’ve translated the key information into English to make it easier for you to navigate our website, choose the right class, and get ready for your first visit.

Dance and exercise

We offer a wide variety of dance and exercise classes. Most classes are taught in Czech, but you are very welcome to join even if you don’t speak Czech.

Some classes, such as Zumba, Fit Dance, and yoga, are easy to follow without much verbal instruction, especially if you already have some experience. For other classes, basic knowledge of Czech can be helpful, but it is usually not essential.

Most of our instructors speak English and will be happy to give you additional guidance in English if you ask. Please note, however, that they may not be able to translate every instruction during the class.

Our studios

All our studios are conveniently located and easily accessible by public transport. We aim to create a welcoming atmosphere, with spacious yet comfortable studios and friendly staff who are always happy to help.

Each studio has changing rooms, toilets, and showers. Equipment and props used during classes — including overballs, yoga mats, TRX suspension trainers, foam rollers, BOSU trainers, and various dance accessories — are available to use free of charge.

About us

We love movement in all its forms and believe that dance and exercise can enrich everyone’s life. They keep us healthy, bring us joy, and simply make us feel good.

Our story began in 1997, when an enthusiastic entrepreneur and his girlfriend founded Centrum Tance. More than 30 years later, the same founder — now supported by a growing team — continues to pursue the same goal with just as much passion: helping people feel healthier, happier, and more confident through movement.

At the heart of Centrum Tance is our wonderful team of professional, supportive, and patient instructors and reception staff. Our instructors include world dance champions as well as accomplished dancers with numerous national and international medals to their names.

But titles and medals are only part of the story. What matters most to us is having kind, passionate people who genuinely enjoy sharing their love of dance, yoga, fitness, and movement with others.

Your satisfaction is our greatest reward:

  • “Centrum Tance offers such a wide variety of classes, and I’m 100% satisfied. I’ve been coming here for more than six months, and it’s the best studio I’ve ever been to.”
  • “Great instructors! I come to Centrum Tance regularly and absolutely love it.”
  • “A beautiful environment, friendly staff, and wonderful instructors.”
